New MacBook Pro with new Apple chip, Mini LED display expected this fall

The new MacBook Pro model with a silicon and mini display specifically designed on Apple will come this fall, according to new reports from Digitime Taiwan news publications.

Last summer, Apple announced that it would transcide the overall Mac product lineup from the Intel CPU to Apple’s own silicon, specifically designed within two years. The first MAC move is a MacBook Air and a low-end configuration of MAC Mini and 13-inch MacBook Pro. Earlier this year, Apple introduced an IMAC 24 inches too. All of these Macs have M1, the first Apple Silicon SOC for Mac. (M1 is also used in the latest iPad Pro refresher.)

But all Macs have similarities: they are at the lower end, with a limit like a less port than the more expensive system made by the company. All higher Macs still have Intel chips. Given that WWDC 2021 (which took place in early June) was marked a year since Apple first announced the transition, many people expect some of the high-end Mac to move to Apple Silicon at the US event. But that doesn’t happen. Some supply chain sources seem to indicate that the mini-led display production is the main obstacle.

The components used in the LED mini display are the subject of new reports of digitimes. He claimed that Apple has validated two new suppliers-Zhen Ding and Tripod-for mini LED backlight that are suitable for new MacBook Pro computers. The report also said that the suppliers were preparing for shipping in the third quarter of this year. It could mean that the new MacBook Pro model will debut around the same time as Apple Watch and the new iPhone are expected in September, maybe.

Previous reporting from Bloomberg said that there will be two new MacBook Pro models: updated 16-inch version, and 14-inch version to replace the 13-inch MacBook Pro. Apple is working on two chips for this computer, with the “Jade C-Chop” password and “Jade C-Die.” Both of them will display eight high-performance CPU cores and two CPU core efficiency, compared to the four core M1 performance and four core efficiency. They will also have a new nerve processing unit for faster machine learning tasks.

According to Bloomberg stories, the difference between C-Chop jade and Jade C-Die will be a GPU-One will have 16 core, and 32 others. For comparison, M1 has a seven core GPU or eight core, depending on the device. And among others, the new chip will allow for more ports, more RAM, and more external monitors than M1.
