Ford Bronco’s production was cut as F-150, Mavick and others saw factory delays
Ford hit the break in the production of Bronco, part of the delay in the spanning that will see the F-150, Ranger, and manufacturing explorers disrupted in July and August 2021. Car makers have been forced to adjust production at the beginning of the year during the lack of semiconductors, and today Announce further congestion that can inhibit the most popular car and truck supplies.
For the Ford Bronco 2021, which we drive for the first time, this is a problem that is very frustrating. The production of trucks is warmly anticipated – which returns the bronco nameplate to a modern vehicle for the first time in decades – just started in mid-June, with a SUV starting to get out to US dealers.
However, now, Bronco’s production will stop on Sunday July 5 and July 26, a Ford spokesman has confirmed. The right problem is not clear at this stage – Ford will not explain more to CNBC, but say that it is “lack of related part” to the scarcity of semiconductors – but it will also have an impact on the Ford Ranger pickup. The line for it will also stop for the next two weeks.
However, elsewhere, Ford is equally affected. Eight plants will totally be affected, especially with the shortage of semiconductors that are ongoing as manufacturers are struggling to return to speed after pandemic downtime. Six of the plants are in the US.
Ford had previously warned that Q2 2021 could see about 50 percent of the production lost by lack of chips. Now, it extends into Q3 2021. Ford F-150 pickup, one of the perennial-eternal sellers, but currently the stock of scarcity in the dealer will now see reduced production from July 12. For three weeks, the Dearborn truck plant where the F-150 was built will operate on two crews that are scaled.
Ford Explorer and Lincoln Nautilus, both built in the Chicago assembly plant in Illinois, will go down even for longer. Ford said it would be offline for four weeks from July 5. Even when production continued there from August 2, Ford admitted, it would only run two shifts.
Hermosillo Mexico assembly factory, where Bronco sports are currently built, will go down to one shift rather than two in weeks July 12 and July 19. It will also have an impact on the production of Maverick Ford, the new little pickup has just been announced.
Elsewhere, there will be obstacles to Ford Mustang, Edge, Escape, Expedition, Transit van, Lincoln Navigator and Corsair, and the range of Ford’s import duty trucks. Ford’s stock price fell today in the announcement.
It’s not clear when, exactly, Ford and other car makers might see a relief deficiency. Ford previously warned that it could take revenues of $ 2.5 billion as a result of a viewpoint, with dealers struggling to restore stock in hand even though there was a strong demand for vehicles on the retail.
