Remake of dead space and reboot as reported in the works.
Last week, we heard a rather interesting rumor about the inactive EA franchise: dead space. Reports claim that EA wants to revive the franchise of the dead space began to circulate, and now today, we will hear more about EA plans. This new report will come only a few weeks from the EA Play Live, the Disclosure event where EA is expected to announce this new project.
For those who might need a refresher, last week we saw a report from Eurogamer who claimed that EA Motive was working to revive one of the IPS established companies. Speculation, at that time, was that this established IP was dead, and speculation was based on a statement made by Gamesbeat Jeff Grubb in the past. Today, we swirled where everything began, with Grubb himself revealing new details about the revival of this dead room.
For GameSbeat, Grubb wrote that he could “confirm the parts” from reports published by Eurogamer and Gematsu last week. The Grubb report seems to suggest that the EA Motive will not only return the dead room series with remakes from the original dead space game, but also that the new dead space game is also at work.
EA apparently took a page from the Capcom book here, following the company’s footsteps after the successful resident 2 remakes. Grubb expects a remake to “use the original game as a strong foundation” but said that it will also have modern visuals along with gameplay mechanics found in the dead room 2 and 3.
The remade of the dead space seems to be part of the EA plan to add a direct service business model with single player games such as Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. We seem to be learning more at the EA Play Live on July 22, so we will tell you when further information about this project was revealed.
