T-Mobile now supports iPhone eSIM for 30 days drive test program
T-Mobile wants to grow its network after a merger with sprint. The company wants to add new customers by bringing them from other network providers. One way to plan to captivate new iPhone users to the network is to allow iPhone users to try free T-mobile networks.
Recently, T-Mobile announced that it will use eSIM technology to allow iPhone users today to be on other networks to use their existing telephone and try the T-Mobile network by downloading the application. The application utilizes eSIM functions on a newer iPhone and can indicate the future where the networking networks need more than application download.
eSIM technology has more promises rather than just making switching networks easy. It can also make services where devices can automatically choose which profile is used in certain situations. That means if you are in an area where one network works better than the other, the phone can automatically switch. It will be a big benefit in the fields where no single network has ideal coverage.
eSIM technology also allows the creation of new wireless operators. One example is Charter, CEO of the company Tom Rutledge said in 2019 that the company would look to expand its cell phone capabilities. He specifically called the availability of several SIM and spectrum technologies that are not licensed and potentially licensed for expansion.
T-Mobile says that free test drives for iPhone users with devices that support eSim Tech are pilot programs. Switching Carriers is a little task, and of course there are many people in various cellular networks that will gladly go if changing operators is easier. It is not clear at this time how long a free test drive for iPhone users took place.
